Who is Kevin Mills
Greetings to all! I'm Kevin Mills, the founder of Nationalparkaquarium.org, where I share my deep passion for aquariums and aquatic life. I'm always on the lookout for new and creative ways to enhance my aquarium, and I enjoy sharing what I've learned with fellow enthusiasts online.
My journey began back in 2016 when I started sharing my love for all things aquatic through blogs, forums, and social media. This fascination with aquatic life began when I was just 12 years old, after being captivated by a friend's fish tank.
Initially, I tried to gather information online, but I often found it confusing and hard to understand.
So, I decided to take a different approach. I started talking to people who were experts in the field and connected with fellow fish enthusiasts. Their tips and advice were incredibly helpful and played a significant role in making me an aquarium expert.
But the real game-changer came when I had the opportunity to work at some well-known aquarium stores in Southern California. The hands-on experience I gained there was invaluable and taught me things that you can't find on the internet.
Over the years, I've taken care of all sorts of aquariums, from small ones to massive tanks as large as 150 gallons. I've also developed a passion for creating beautiful underwater landscapes, especially in freshwater tanks.
Through my blog, my goal is to share what I've learned and the excitement I have for the aquatic world. I hope to be a helpful resource and an inspiration to aquascaping enthusiasts around the world. Thank you for joining me on this incredible journey!
With over 20 years of experience in fishkeeping, covering everything from tending to saltwater and freshwater tanks to nurturing aquatic life in local stores, I've accumulated a wealth of knowledge.
One notable highlight in my journey was serving as a tech editor for Kathleen Wood book, " The 101 Best Tropical Fishes: How to Choose & Keep Hardy, Brilliant, Fascinating Species That Will Thrive in Your Home Aquarium " Mrs. Kathleen Wood is renowned for his numerous guidebooks on fish care.
My expertise extends to the art of setting up aquariums, whether it's a modest 5-gallon tank, a substantial 150-gallon behemoth, or even larger aquatic landscapes. Throughout the years, my exploration led me to acquire and experiment with a multitude of aquarium equipment pieces, thanks to my association with local fish care stores.
While I've dabbled in various aspects of fishkeeping, my true expertise lies in freshwater fish care. I understand their needs and know precisely what it takes to ensure a fish is happy and healthy in its aquatic home.
